Active enzymes are steamed into the skin to breakdown dead skin cell buildup allowing the skin to breathe. Extractions are performed to remove trapped debris and infections (blackheads, breakouts). Glacial clay mask (from New Zealand) helps to dissolve oils and tighten the pores. High frequency (ultraviolet light) is used to "zap" bacteria beneath the surface of the skin to treat cystic acne flares and other closed comedones.
